Permanent Habitat
A house, apartments, shared accommodation, light housing, woofers, long-term residences... The farm is also bubbling with life thanks to its inhabitants and its guardians (angels).
Thirty people live at l'Arbre qui Pousse and make the daily choice to match their private space with their commitment to society. They are in perfect harmony with the values of the collective project because they are ready to co-construct the human and social adventure of l'Arbre by bearing 100% witness to this paradigm shift and because their presence in this place allows them to provide the care necessary for its smooth running.
Information on light housing
Accommodating light housing on the farm or in an adjacent dedicated area remains a desire of the project.
However, this is not yet the case. At present, the adventure playground is home to infrastructure linked to the workcamps (caravans for project leaders and woofers), vans or campers for visiting volunteers, and caravans and yurts used as educational spaces. Therefore, for the time being, there are no light housing facilities.
Temporary habitat
The coliving of the Arbre qui Pousse
The Arbre coliving project was born to create a simple, medium-term space in the farm's beautiful main building. Anyone already inspired by l'Arbre or simply curious to experience life in a place of emergence up close is welcome to stay. Whether you're on your own, with family or friends, we'll welcome you with open arms for a short stay (minimum 7 days) or a longer one (up to 3 months).
Practical info:
- Coliving is located in the main building, the most beautiful building on the farm.
- 6 rooms are available, including 1 room shared by volunteers, who come to stay and put their energy at the service of l'Arbre qui Pousse.
- Several communal areas (indoors and outdoors) to share convivial moments with residents and the Arbre ecosystem.
- We regularly organize lunches and dinners together at democratic prices.
- Access to l'Arbre coworking facilities (50€/month or 15€/week).
Activities at the barn
If you wish, and its strongly encouraged, you can experience the farm's recurring activities and help with various community projects. An Arbre qui Pousse community member will be on hand regularly to provide a link with the Arbre project, pass on information and invitations, and make the integration process as smooth as possible.
Here are some examples of daily activities:
- On Mondays and Fridays, we prepare joint lunches, which are great opportunities for conversation and socializing;
- A guided tour of the farm and a presentation of the Arbre qui Pousse project are organized regularly;
- On Fridays, there's a ‘brigade du beau’, a time for various shared projects with Sébastien and Pierre;
- Friday afternoons are market afternoons at l'Arbre qui Pousse, where you can get behind the counter and become a barman or barmaid if you like or simply enjoy the energy of the moment;
- The first Friday of the month is a ‘festive market,’ which often means there will be a live band playing;
- Saturday mornings are often ‘vegetable garden mornings’ for residents and anyone else who wishes to do some gardening.
- One Friday a month, everyone gets together for a family-friendly Arbre dinner.
- We'll be holding our famous festive and sustainable Christmas market at the beginning of December!

The Arbre qui Pousse summer inn
Every year, the Arbre campus is transformed into an intentional summer hostel. The idea is to create a temporary community on the farm, in all simplicity. Anyone who has already been inspired by l'Arbre, who is curious to experience life more closely in a place of emergence, or who needs a moment out of time in the countryside to visit Walloon Brabant is welcome to stay here. Whether on your own, with family or with friends, the Arbre summer hostel welcomes you with open arms for a short stay (minimum 2 days) or a longer one (up to 2 months). It's a chance to live in a community, understand what it means to emerge, prepare for the unknown, and meet unexpected people... That's when the magic happens!
Practical info:
- the inn is located in the main building, the most beautiful building on the farm
- 6 rooms and 22 beds available, including 4 shared rooms and 2 private rooms
